Darrell Dean Canter (NK Stone Cold), 48 of Valley Lee, MD died November 21, 2009 in Lake City, FL.

Born August 22, 1961 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Charles Canter and Juleann Bien.

Darrell is survived by his son Ryan R. Canter of Abingdon, VA, his mother, father, step-parents, and his siblings.

Darrell D. Canter, USN retired, Chief Canter, a Gulf War veteran succumbed to his injuries incurred in a motorcycle accident.

After retiring in 1998 from Fleet Maintenance Squadron, Patuxent Naval Air Station, Darrell stayed on as a valuable resident of Southern Maryland. He immediately went to work for VSE Corporation supporting the F-18 program. At the time of his death, Darrell was surrounded by his friends doing one of the activities he loved most, riding his motorcycle. A long-time member of the Nam Knights Motorcycle Club, he was supporting a Nam Knights ride in Lake City, FL. Nam Knights is an organization which provides support to the families and law enforcement officers. Darrell was an active member. One of his best friends was at his side. He ended his last email to a fellow club member with: I was looking where I was going!!!!!!!! I was looking into the future! Darrell rides on in our hearts and mind.

Family received friends on Friday, November 27, 2009 in Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.A. Funeral Liturgy was held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Lexington Park, MD with Father Jack Kennealy officiating.
